IMG has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician and Communication Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer to support the customer’s computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.    The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician / COMSEC Responsible Officer are a combination of both networking and COMSEC responsibilities and experience as follows:                                                                  - Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades utilizing the customer ticketing application [ServiceNow]. - Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan IAW COMSEC policy, and an authorized COMSEC access list. - Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed IAW the supporting key’s effective and supersession dates. - Ensure TPI requirements are followed when handling Top Secret COMSEC material. - Establish a comprehensive COMSEC training program for all briefed individuals. - Implement standard network change requests and incident requests within standard timelines. - Maintain accountabilities for all COMSEC material issued to their subaccount. - Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and inventoried. - Prepare a written emergency plan detailing how COMSEC equipment should be handled in emergency situations; ensure COMSEC briefed personnel are properly trained on this document. - Processes all transfer, destruction, & inventory documents in a timely manner; return paperwork to the program office. - Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, coordinate and install new equipment). - Report any known or suspected COMSEC incidents. - Return all excess or faulty equipment within the appropriate time frames utilizing the appropriate security processes. - Support the installation and maintenance of the client’s Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) devices. - Validate the continuing need for COMSEC material held on the account by creating a Requirements Letter.
