Opportunity

IMG is seeking a talented Network Administrator Advisor to support our customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. The team ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support their mission. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of the customer's information technology (IT) networks worldwide. 

 

You will help ensure that the customer's mission is fully realized, making our world safer, today and tomorrow. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Functional tasks include system engineering, operation and support of The F5 Layer 7 Application Delivery platform, Next-generation Firewalls, Intrusion and Prevention Systems as required by DOD and Army policy, as well as the customer's operational requirements.
  • Document all task accomplishments in Remedy ITSM, technical SOPs and/or other technical sources and work with the various established IT support elements, and Application Development teams to coordinate resolutions to complex IT issues and requirements.  
  • Standard administrative tasks include individual time, time sheet, leave, and training completion; performance management; compliance with customer organization and company standards; performing other tasks as assigned and demonstrating proficiency, accuracy and attention to detail in assigned duties. 
  • Works under the supervision of the customer and in direct support of government and contractor staff.
  • Troubleshoots all aspects of the Application Delivery architecture effectively and understands the overall configuration, logic flow, and component integration with other systems within the architecture.

Qualifications

Clearance Required: TS/SCI to start.  Candidate may be required to pass a CI Poly.

 

Certifications Required:

  • Required Baseline/Security Environment Certification: IAT II 8570 Baseline Certification- Sec+CE or equivalent

  • One of the following Computing Environment Certifications:

    • CCNP

    • CCDE

    • Brocade Certified Ethernet Fabric IP Master

    • Brocade Certified IP Master

    • F5 Certified Solution Expert,

    • Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist - Security Design

    • Juniper Networks Certified Design Specialist - Security Design

    • VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Network Virtualization Deployment

Required Education/Experience:

  • Must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
    • High School Diploma + 10 years
    • Associates Degree + 8 years
    • Bachelor's Degree + 6 years
    • Master's Degree + 4 years
    • PhD + 0 years
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP based networking components and logic and TCP/IP based web application logic
  • Should have good understanding of Linux shell operation
  • Working knowledge of virtual private networks and IP routing
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP and other communication protocols and services: DNS, SNMP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, LDAPS, OCSP, IPSEC, SSH, Kerberos
  • General working knowledge of Microsoft web platforms and technologies including IIS and SharePoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and principals including TCP/IP and TCP/IP based services and applications.
  • Advanced understanding of security architectures and computer networks (LANs, net connections and IP) including common ports and protocols used by enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of all aspects of:
    • Layer 7 Application Delivery Controllers and Proxies

    • Next Generation Firewalls and Proxies

    • Intrusion and Prevention Systems

    • Network switches and routers

    • Network access (TACACS+, AD), monitoring (SNMP, Netflow), and logging (Syslog, Splunk)

  • Working knowledge and use of the Windows command prompt; ability to conduct standard troubleshooting activities with the command prompt.
  • Working knowledge of DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) for systems and applications.
  • Technical diagramming (Visio) and documentation capabilities (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working ability to provide incident and after action reports and analysis
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.
  • Proven ability to absorb, master and leverage emerging technologies.
  • Proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities. Detail-oriented and possesses the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
