    IMG provides information technology (IT), information assurance (IA), and visual information (VI) services to government and commercial customers worldwide - is seeking a full-time Business Development Specialist at its Fairfax, VA location.


    Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Business Development Specialist's mission is to provide significant support to IMG’s Business Development Team through complex opportunity and market specific research, proactive business intelligence collection and thorough analysis during all phases of the business acquisition process.

    • Assist in the development of competitive assessments, market assessments, and strategic planning efforts in support of federal market growth and development, creating or enhancing go-to-market strategies.
    • Perform extensive market and competitive research and analysis through primary and secondary sources.
    • Generate and supply analytical content and results in presentation format.
    • Provide analytics that will drive discussions with executive-level leadership.
    • Identify, monitor and track new opportunities using a variety of US Government & commercial procurement portals such as FedBizOps, GovWin.
    • Assist with composing opportunity specific research and presentations utilized in Business Development’s business acquisition process as well as assisting in strategy development and the creation of opportunity-specific marketing materials.
    • Assist with weekly and monthly reports summarizing Business Development pipeline metrics and department activities.
    • Assist with managing Business Development’s SharePoint Site.
    • Respond to ad-hoc research and Business Development requests.
    • Attend industry day events, capture business intelligence and promote Information Management Group.
    • Engage potential teaming partners and help initiate NDAs as well as assist in the creation of Teaming Agreements.
    • Managing pre-award contract data requirements.




    • Experience performing market research and analysis in the federal government services market.
    • Experience with extensive research and analysis in a functional role.
    • Experience preparing presentation materials and conveying analytical content.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Must be able to work independently, apply critical thinking skills to solve problems, and adapt to learn new tools (e.g. Gov Win, software particular to a specific task).
    • Minimum 1 year experience performing Business Intelligence and/or Research Activities; preferably for a Government Contractor.
    • Must be familiar with federal government procurement process.
    • Organizational, planning, and time-management skills are required; the ability to communicate effectively is a critical skill for this position.
    • Attention to detail is required to be able to review information and edit material for proper use of terminology, style, content, grammar, punctuation, and clarity; as well as design and layout format.
    • Physical functions involve typing at speeds sufficient to meet writing and/or document preparation deadlines, ability to move materials (binders, reference books) as required, and occasional local travel to meetings or to support BD/proposal efforts at off-site locations.
    • Must be proficient using basic office equipment, including but not limited to personal computers, laptops, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, phones, etc.
    • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security  clearance.

    Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other related field required.


    Years of Relevant Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of Business Intelligence Analysis or federal acquisition experience.
