    IMG – provides information technology (IT), information assurance (IA), and visual communication services to government and commercial customers worldwide - is seeking a full-time Help Desk Technician with Q/TS or L/Secret Clearance at its 1333 Isaac Hull Ave, Washington, DC 20376 location.


    • Provide prompt, responsive, and courteous day-to-day customer support for personnel IT needs. Review, process, and resolve help desk tickets or other service requests as assigned within established timelines. 
    • read understand and apply established IT guidelines to meet user needs and where necessary recommend deviations.
    • All work is performed under the supervision of the LAN manager.


    • Knowledge of network and IT standards and protocols to perform routine configurations, installations, maintenance, inspection, and design of network systems. 
    • Knowledge of a wide range of computer techniques, requirements, methods, sources and security procedures to perform routine user support tasks.
    • Knowldege, skill and ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on aspects of IT projects.
    • Ability to read and review user-submitted paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
    • Customer service experience as a help desk technician, to include answering user phone calls and tickets as well as providing in-office touch labor support.
    • Help Desk (computer help center) or comparable experience. Experience in receipt of calls, problem diagnosis, problem resolution, and database problem tracking (such as Remedy).
    • Knowledge and working experience with Microsoft Office Suite software (e.g., Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). Experience shall include responding to information workers' detailed questions on the use of these applications and resolving installation and operational type problems.
    • Working experience with file management systems such as Windows Explorer, Email applications such as Outlook, and Computer Conferencing such as Microsoft NetMeeting, Remote Assistant.
    • Working experience with operating systems such as Windows, Unix, Linux, or equivalent.


    Clearance Required: DOD TS or DOE Q; DOD Secret or DOE L clearance required prior to consideration.
