    To expand our team at IMG’s Headquarters, IMG is seeking a Proposal Manager capable of leading the proposal development process in response to federal and commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through will be the key to success in this role. This position will work closely with our Capture Manager to assist in the development of winning proposal strategies. Candidate will be responsible for RFP analysis, administering proposal processes, and providing guidance and assistance to Proposal Writers and contributors.

    IMG - founded in 1987 - provides information technology (IT) and information assurance (IA) services to government and commercial customers worldwide - is seeking a full-time Proposal Manager at its Fairfax, VA location.


    This position is considered to be mid-level. 


    • Design, development, production, and on-time delivery of compliant, competent, and competitive responses to RFPs, as well as Sources Sought Notices (SSNs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Task Order Proposals (RTOPs), etc.;
    • Analyze RFP requirements and develop compliance matrix, proposal schedule, proposal outline, and kickoff materials
    • As Part of the Business Development team provide support to the Capture Manager and Director of Federal Markets to develop effective win themes and proposal strategies;
    • Lead proposal kick-off, stand-up meetings, and color team reviews;
    • Write proposal content (i.e., Executive Summary, Technical and Management Approach, Past Performance Descriptions);
    • Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and revise/rewrite draft material provided by technical and other sources;
    • Monitor solicitation developments (amendments, answers to questions, etc.) in order to keep proposal writers/teammates updated, revising proposal outline/schedule/etc. as appropriate;
    • Copyedit proposal content, including reviewing for compliance, accuracy, and completeness;
    • Create, develop and maintain proposal boilerplate inventory and resources; and
    • Simultaneously manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, which may require prolonged work hours on occasion.


    Required Skills/Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience designing, producing, and delivering on-time compliant and competitive proposals.
    • Demonstrated experience writing federal IT proposals.
    • Ability to perform with limited supervision/oversight.
    • Strong organizational skills and time-management capabilities, as well as written and verbal communications skills. The successful candidate will be equally adept at drafting a brief corporate marketing piece as he/she is at leading a team of IMG writers, SMEs, and other contributors responding to a complete proposal.
    • Facility with advanced features of MS Word are required for performing document design, layout, and formatting; as are skills in the use of MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Suite.

    Desired Skills/Qualifications:

    • Proposal Management Training (i.e. Shipley Associates)
    • APMP membership and/or certification
    • Experience with SharePoint

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor Degree in English or a related field.

    Years of Experience:

    • 3-5 years of federal proposal development experience in the IT Services industry.
