    IMG – provides information technology (IT), information assurance (IA), and visual communication services to government and commercial customers worldwide - is seeking a full-time Network Engineer at its College Park, MD location.


    This position supports the Network Modernization of the DIA’s network infrastructure.  It requires working with Subject Matter Experts performing Tier II-IV level work.  The purpose of the Network Engineer is to provide support  by deploying and maintaining LAN and WAN infrastructures, and security.  This position requires experience in routing and network protocols.   




      1. Working knowledge deploying /maintaining LAN and WAN infrastructures, and security
      2. Experience in routing and networking protocols. Requires experience with OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and MPLS L2 and L3. Similar examples include CDP, CLNS, VRRP(-E), HSRP, IGRP,EIGRP, NAT, QoS, RIP, DNS, TCP/UDP, IP, and others.
      3. Strong security and remote connectivity background with knowledge of and utilizing L3 VPNs, IPSEC, SSL, IPS , IDS, ASA’s, Concentrators, and others
      4. Proficient use of packet analyzers, network assessment tools
      5. Advanced understanding of Ethernet Fabrics
      6. Familiarity with wireless evaluation tools and implementation of multiple wireless platforms.  Similar examples would include, but not be limited to Aruba, Cisco, Brocade, and Motorola or equivalent.
      7. Ability to configure and troubleshoot various switches and LAN controllers
      8. Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers /switches/ASA/concentrators
      9. Experience setting up unified threat management services on firewall devices
      10. Possesses an advanced understanding of load balancing and advanced technologies
      11. Experience with vendor hardware from Cisco and Juniper using IOS-XR/XE and JUNOS
      12. Cryptographic equipment and technology is a plus

    Education/Training:  Requires a Bachelor's degree + 3 years experience.  Currently active 8570 IAT II certification required.  Preferred current certifications: CCNA / CCNP / JNCIA / JNCIS. 


    Clearance Required:  Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance; current CI Polygraph is a plus.
