IMG is currently in the process of building technical teams to help support one of our federal government customer’s in Maryland. These teams will be responsible for providing enterprise management services to include service delivery in the following areas: build and implementation, operation and maintenance, connectivity, logistics management, identification of asset components, asset management, customer support services and ops and engineering support services.

 

IMG is seeking a Network Test Engineer 2 with TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph for work at its Columbia, MD location.

 

Responsibilities

Coordinate, develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test enterprise level infrastructure and network design implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities. Execute test of network devices communication paths and capacity performance; conduct post-test data analysis and reporting. Create test Discrepancy Reports to document issues and assist development with the investigation and resolution of issues. Review and comment on testability issues, obvious design flaws, anticipate data collection points and coordinate development of plans for and conduct of anomaly test and analysis as required. Perform network management and monitoring of networks to include development applications and associated hardware. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Must be able to analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures, prepare for and conduct the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area as assigned in the SOW.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, planning, testing, and implementing LANs and WANs using latest technology.
  2. Actively monitor and manage the network and optimize system performance.
  3. Applying operating system updates, patches and configuration changes
  4. Implement network security measures.
  5. Providing and managing system documentation for all related network systems.
  6. Supporting and configuring all routers, switches, and firewalls.
  7. Managing the testing and implementation of upgrades and changes to the network systems.
  8. Designing and planning network systems.
  9. Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  10. Providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  11. Conducting testing of network systems.
  12. Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  13. Evaluating and reporting on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

Qualifications

Shall have nine (9) years of experience that may include a combination of work history and education. A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience and an associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience. The degree must be in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management or a related discipline from an accredited college or university. Work history must be as a TE on programs/contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Knowledge and experience with the following protocols/technologies: TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, Spanning Tree, Reverse Proxy. Experience with (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot) Cisco and Juniper routers, switches (Nexus and Catalyst), ASA's, and Blue Coat devices. Experience working and managing networks supporting government systems in an unclassified and classified environment.
